An Oklahoma minor (child) power of attorney allows a parent or guardian to legally appoint another person as a temporary caregiver for their child(ren), especially during short-term absences due to reasons like vacation, military service, or imprisonment.
This document grants the appointed individual, known as the attorney-in-fact, the authority to make decisions concerning the child’s well-being, education, medical and dental care, and other parental responsibilities. Parents can limit this authority by specifying certain tasks on the form. Valid for up to one year, the power of attorney can be revoked anytime in writing.
